  • Food is kid friendly. Who have children with “picky” tastes, Turkey can be an easy place to find meals that are suitable.  Turkish food should appeal to most kids – what’s köfte but a (very) tasty burger, pide a pizza without the tomato paste, and gözleme a stuffed pancake.

  • Children are welcome in the restaurants. You will see kids chairs in most of the restaurants. You might think that Turkish food is way too exotic but in fact it has plenty of kMids-friendly delights.

  • There’s plenty of time for additional activities including sea kayaking, snorkeling, hot air ballooning, horse ridding , cycling, trekking.

We offer the families the chance to design their own trip to Cappadocia by choosing a variety of bite-sized travel experiences, lasting a few days at a time. We’ll give you a chance to
immerse yourself in local culture, experience classic highlights.

  • Meeting at The Airport. Depending on the flight time we can stop at the Soganli valley for a short walk. Soğanlı valley which is not a much visited site will give an idea you about the typical Turkish village life. Christian monasteries located on the skirts of hills are unique for their wall paintings amongst all Cappadocia churches.

  • Family Activities : treasure hunt, camping, trekking. Go in the church and look at the wall paintings. Who is the person standing on a pillar next to Jesus in the crucifix scene? You will have to go to the cell of one of his followers if you want to get your key back. DAY 1 : We will drive to the red valley. We will play a game of treasure hunting, involving exploring tunnels and caves, solving puzzles, orienteering (simplified), and simple repelling with ropes. We will have lunch and dinner at the small family run restaurant in the red valley and camp here with sleeping bags and if necessary tents. (If the weather is good tents won’t be necessary, we will sleep in the caves or a platform specially arranged for sleeping outside under millions of stars) RED VALLEY : It’s right in the valley surrounded by flowers, cave churches and fields full of fruit trees and grape vines. The owner Ibrahim and his family (3 generations of them in all) are extremely nice and serve traditional and very tasty homemade food . cappadocia camp, camping trekking DAY 2 :We have breakfast into Ibrahim’s Cafeteria into The Red Valley. After breakfast we are going to search for the treasure . And we walk through Rose Valley. In Gülludere (Rose Valley), east of Göreme, a great wall of rock rises up beside the path. Its facade is pierced with a row of pigeon houses that used to play such an important role in local agriculture before chemical fertilizers were invented. We visit an enormous church, much larger than many of those hidden away in the Cappadocian valleys, and its size suggests an importance that makes it all the more surprising that its walls are bare of frescoes.

  • Family Activities: hiking, making your first pottery piece We start from Cavusin , the ruins of an old greek-ottoman village carved into the rocks. After 1 hour walk we will be at Pasabağ. Pasabag, famous with it’s multi headed fairy chimneys, where has been the jail of St. Simeon who raged against the monastery life rules of Cappadocia. After we explore the mushroom-shaped formations, we transfer to Avonos. Avanos is famous with pottery art, which is in fact the cultural heritage from Hittites to Cappadocia. These famous potters make wonderful souvenirs and are available at a wide range of prices from simple ashtrays and mugs to ornate plates and chess sets. You have an opportunities, to have a first lecture about pottery making and you can have fun making your own pottery pieces under the local artis directions.
