Lycia is the bump on Turkey’s southern coast between Antalya and Fethiye, where the Taurus mountains sweep down to the sea . A long distance walk, the Lycian way, links the Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman roads, goat paths and forestry tracks in a 500 km walk around the coast. The route passes through ruins of many Lycian cities and visit the most worthwhile spots on the coast. Middle Earth Travel offer two trekking programmes along this route, All our programmes are designed, and some are lead by Kate Clow, the author of the book ‘The Lycian Way’, Turkey’s first long distance walk |
