Climb of Hasan volcano (3268m)
This two days tour starts with a short walk in the Ihlara valley and a transfer to base camp for the climb. Second day we reach the summit, where in good weather, we have a great view of the whole area and the Salt Lake.

Demands a bit of experience and fitness to tackle steep slopes and narrow, stony paths for up to 8 hours

Trekkers need good walking boots, daysack (approximately 40 lt), warm clothing, sunglasses,
sunhat, suncream, raingear (preferably breathable such as goretex), sleeping bag.
Walking sticks are recommended. |

Accommodation
One night camping; trekkers are expected to help pitch/strike their own tents.
All tents are good quality dome tents with two doors.
Meals
Lunches will be picnics. Trekkers are expected to carry some part of the food for lunch. Evening meals in camp will be hot soup or salads, a main course with pasta or rice and fruit. |

Min 4 max 8 pax. For groups under 4 people, a surcharge of 50 € is added to the price.
Prices include all meals, guide, transfers and mule support. Tea and coffee are included, but alcoholic
and soft drinks which are available at camps or restaurants and entrance fees to historical sites and museums are excluded. |

We meet at the Middle Earth Travel office in goreme at 08:30. Then we drive to Ihlara village, stopping to visit Kaymakli underground city en route. 3 hours trek in the Ihlara valley, with visits to the rock-cut churches. Restaurant lunch at Belisirma village. Drive to Helvadere and camp near the Süt (milk) Church. |

Wake up at 05.00, for breakfast and start ascent over rough ground at 06.00, to reach the summit at 11.00. Views of the Aladaglar and Bolkar mountains, Tuz Gölü -Salt lake- (2nd biggest in Turkey), and explore the ruins of the highest church in Turkey. Return to camp 14.00 – 15.00. Late lunch at Helvadere trout restaurant. Return to Göreme, pausing to swim in Nargölü lake. Reach Göreme around 19.00. |
