As Team of Middle Earth Travel, we have been operating mostly outdoor tours in the past five years. We have accumulated a considerable amount of experience about the cultural aspects of traveling in turkey too. During this time, one of the most commonly given comments on our tours was that, the archeological, historical and cultural aspects of the tours were very satisfying and rich. Sometimes even unexpectedly so, for an outdoor trip. This put together with the experienced archeologist guide joining our team this year has encouraged us to start to run purely archeological-cultural tours. If you are into archeology and history but do not fancy walking long distances, now you don’t have miss the pleasure of being part of Middle Earth Travel trips anymore. You can experience the cultural aspects of Turkey with the same personal touch that all Middle Earth Travel tours have. We invite you to one of the greatest harmonies of the world, the meeting place of two great continents. The aged land, often called 'the cradle of history' is the home for many cultural treasures. The bridge between Europe and Asia has seen tens of different civilization come and pass. Each new comer has added its own to the cultural mosaic and enriched it instead of destroying what was there. This resulted in an unmatched accumulation of the remains of tens of different civilizations, from the Stone Age to the Ottoman era.

This cultural wealth does not only show itself in the form of archeological remains but also is felt in everyday life, the eating culture and the traditions of the people(s) of Anatolia. It was named Asia minor two thousand years ago by the Romans. It deserves this name with its fantastic geography with three sides enveloped by seas, mountain ranges that run all through the country from east to west and rivers and lakes that give life to the green plateaus.
